High School & Transfer Students

The BArch program in the School of Architecture (SoA) consists of two distinct components:the four-year BA degree and a one-year program leading to the BArch degree. The BA is both a critical component of the School's accredited professional BArch program and a stand-alone, independent degree program.

All high school or transfer applicants to the BArch program apply directly to the BA program.  After successfully completing the BA program, current SoA students with an architecture GPAof 3.0 or higher are automatically admitted to the 5th year, BArch program. The admissions process for high school and transfer applicants is described on the BA program admissions page.

Fifth Year Admissions (students with B.A. or B.S. in architecture degrees)

The School of Architecture also accepts applications to the fifth year program from students who have completed a B.A. or B.S. in architecture from another NAAB accredited institution.
