Welcome to the Department of Music

The UNC Charlotte Department of Music provides a comprehensive education that produces artists, scholars, and educators who embody musical excellence and professional integrity. The curriculum stresses faculty-mentored individual studies in music while also emphasizing the benefits offered by a major research university.

The Department of Music offers numerous opportunities for all UNC Charlotte students to participate in bands, choirs, orchestras, and jazz ensemblesA marching band information session will be held on January 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Rowe Recital Hall.

The Department will host several special events in 2015, including BRASS DAY and the 49er JAZZ FESTIVAL!
