The Department of Theatre offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre, with focus areas in performance, design, directing, stagecraft, dramaturgy, playwriting, and theatre studies.

The B.A. in Theatre with a concentration in Theatre Education follows the core curriculum of the B.A. in Theatre with additional coursework in education offered through the College of Education. The curriculum includes specialized pedagogy courses with laboratory experiences that lead to K-12 teacher licensure in North Carolina.

The Department also offers a Minor in Theatre which requires 23 credit hours of class and production work.

Coursework in the Department of Theatre is available to all students enrolled at the University, as are the auditions for our productions.
