KEEPING WATCH Earth Day Celebration

UNC Charlotte Center City

KEEPING WATCH on AIR, a project of the College of Arts + Architecture and the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute, joins Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to celebrate Earth Day and the opening of First Ward Park, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Experience family-oriented hands-on activities, demonstrations, entertainment, food trucks, and lots of fun as we learn how to protect and preserve our environment. 

Demonstrations and exhibits from more than 20 organizations, including TreesCharlotte, Clean Air Carolina, Discovery Place, Sustain Charlotte, Keep Charlotte Beautiful, Green Teachers Network, Davidson College Environmental Science Department, Daniel Stowe Botannical Garden, Center for STEM Education, and UNC Charlotte STORM. Activities include kite-making, face-painting, balloon artists, and more. 

In the evening, join us for a screening of Catching the Sun, and a final Particle Falls viewing!
