Tuesday, June 20, 2017
Dr. Elizabeth Sullivan, assistant professor of oboe, participated in the 2017 International Fellowship of Conductors, Composers and Collaborators (IFC3), held in June at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. IFC3 was founded in 2014 by Timothy Paul, director of bands at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Through workshops, performances, lectures, and recording sessions, IFC3 promotes wind literature by bringing together conductors, composers, and performers of wind music for one week each year.

The festival particularly attracts young professional musicians in academic positions from around the world. Dr. Sullivan was one of two oboists selected to attend and perform at IFC3 this year. She and the other participants rehearsed, performed, and recorded a total of eight new chamber pieces.
