Greer grew up in Charlotte and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in French from the College of Wooster. Prior to coming to UNC Charlotte she worked for a non-profit, organizing a tutoring system for an after-school program, and in higher education as a student services coordinator and academic advisor. Her creative work explores relational aesthetics and how community can be fostered through shared meals. Her senior thesis project, Come to the Table, integrated bread and ceramics in sculptural forms, offering bread each day as an invitation for visitors to participate in the exhibit. She continues to work with ceramics and has made dishes for a variety of groups and events.
