What do you do to be creative? I taught myself how to knit a year and a half ago and am learning how to design garments. It's very satisfying to see a piece take shape. Even more satisfying when it fits!  My favorite fibers to work with are alpaca and merino wool.

What’s an arts event that you’ve been to or seen recently that you enjoyed? The 2021 Scholastic Gold and Silver Key Exhibit at the Mint Uptown. The students' work was impressive and beautifully showcased in the 5th-floor gallery.  I can't wait to see the winning work for 2022!

Do you participate in any community cultural activities? My favorite things to support are Symphony On Tap, pop-up markets, and anything at Camp North End.

What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte or The College of Arts + Architecture? The people! It is really interesting to learn about the talents of our students, staff, and faculty.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to be outdoors – biking along the greenway, walking my awesome dog Chester, and working in my garden.
