Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in art/design?

Growing up in an Italian-Peruvian family, I was taught from a young age to appreciate and admire all different forms of art. My grandma, being an artist, was the initial person that made me really understand the true beauty of art. Throughout all my four years in high school my passion for art and design has grown. I have taken and excelled in multiple art classes, including AP Art and dipped my toes into Interior Design and Multimedia. My passion for art has always been a big part of who I am, and I continue to apply the skills I learned from it in everything I do.

Why did you apply to the Arts + Architecture Honors Program?

I wanted to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, but still do something that was creative.

What kind of career do you hope to have?

I hope to become a film set designer.

What is your favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture?

My favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture is that it's like a small community, and everyone is very supportive.

Do you participate in any community cultural activities or work in the Charlotte arts or design community?

Yes, the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS).

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?

Honestly, I get so much work from architecture so I don’t have that much free time, but when I do I love hanging out with friends.
