Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in art/design?

I became interested in design from an early age. I always loved building with Legos, and I still have an impressive collection back home. My passion for architecture specifically started when I read a book and saw drawings of Frank Lloyd Wright and his work. I remember loving his style from the moment I saw photos of his houses, and to this day I've wanted to be just as successful as him!

Why did you apply to the Arts + Architecture Honors Program?

I applied to the AAHP because I knew I wanted an engaging and challenging curriculum that connected to my major. Honors programs go into subjects more in depth and hold their students to a higher standard. Therefore when I succeed in an honors class, I definitely find it more rewarding! In addition, the many perks of being an honors student (such as Levine Hall housing) didn't hurt either!

What kind of career do you hope to have?

I hope to have my own firm someday. I will probably work for others early in my career, which might be a great experience, but there is something about "being your own boss" that seems very exciting to me. I also aim to give all of my clients their dream building. If they are happy, I will be happy!

What is your favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture?

There are many things I love about the COAA, but I think the studio environment is great. Working and observing other people's ideas and their planning is nice because it allows you to brainstorm or get a better understanding of the assignment through help from your peers.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?

For fun I love watching football. Every Sunday you will find me somewhere watching my New England Patriots play! I also love analyzing the statistics and results from the games. In fact, if I wasn't so passionate about architecture, I would probably go into sports analytics or sports journalism!
