Susan Brenner

Susan Brenner is a painter who also works with photography, digital imaging, drawing,and installation. She has been a recipient of a Pollock-Krasner grant, a Southern Arts Federation/National Endowment for the Arts Regional Award in Painting and Works on Paper, two North Carolina Artist’s Fellowships, and a Mecklenburg County Regional Artist Project Grant. Her work has been featured in exhibitions around the US in venues such as the Mint Museum of Art, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Columbia Museum of Art, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. She received her M.F.A. from the University of Southern California and is a retired Associate Professor and Area coordinator of Painting in the Department of Art and Art History at UNC Charlotte.
