Storrs Hall Computer Labs:

The Storrs building has three computer labs for students to use, one dedicated 24 hour lab, one teaching lab, and one library lab. A total of 44 dual booting iMacs are available to students in the Storrs building.

All machines in the Storrs building are dual booting iMacs. They boot Windows XP Enterprise and Mac OS X Snow Leopard. All Arts + Architecture students have dedicated server space outside of the University's quota. All machines have a all the applications a student will need to do their assigned work and maintain their digital files, including:

Adobe Creative Suite 5, Design Premium:
Adobe Creative Suite is the standard in media design. From Flash to Photoshop, Web or Print. The Adobe Creative Suite will be one of your most used application suites.

Apple Final Cut Pro:
By far one of the best programs for video editing. Final Cut Pro offers professional video editing for your advanced projects.

Apple iLife:
Apple's suite of applications for managing your photos, music and videos. Simple to use, yet very powerful.

AutoDesk AutoCAD 2011:
AutoCAD is an industry leader in 3D CAD design, drafting, modeling, architectural drawing, and engineering software.

AutoDesk Revit 2011:
Purpose-built for building information modeling (BIM)

Google SketchUp Pro:
3D modeling software.

Maxwell Render:
3D rendering software that can render from almost any application.

McNeel Rhino 4:
Nurbs Modeling.

Microsoft Office & Apple iWorks:
Standard office suite of applications (reports, simple databases, presentations)

Nemetschek Vectorworks 2010:
A professional 2D & 3D CAD program.

Symantec Anti-Virus:
UNC Charlotte uses Symantec AV for protection from Malware, Spyware, and viruses.
