Action is at the heart of any arts practice. At UNC Charlotte, energetic leadership, collaboration, and innovation propel creative action in architecture, dance, music, theatre, and visual art.
Our galleries and theaters are both academic laboratories and vibrant community spaces where students and audiences alike explore the uniquely human experience of artistic expression. Our performing and visual arts programs connect us with tradition and the avant-garde, ignite imaginations and social conscience, and foster a global perspective of design and culture.
The College of Arts + Architecture supports two major exhibition spaces on the university’s main campus and a gallery in the UNC Charlotte Center City building, where visitors encounter work in diverse media by university, regional, and global artists.
Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts is the university’s state-of-the-art facility, featuring a versatile Black Box Theater and the beautiful proscenium-style Anne R. Belk Theater. The College of Arts + Architecture presents more than 100 performances each year.
