The Department of art & Art History presents Forming a Legacy: Works by Joan Tweedy Alumni, March 8-27.

As part of the celebration in memory of late ceramic professor Joan Tweedy, this exhibition showcases work by several UNC Charlotte alumni who continue to learn from their former professor. Tweedy’s legacy lives on within the walls of Rowe Arts, but also beyond through works by artists she originally inspired. These artists and former students come together to provide visual evidence for Tweedy’s influence as a teacher, artist, and colleague. The exhibition is a companion show to Vessels Aplenty: The Joan Tweedy Memorial Exhibition at the Projective Eye Gallery.

Artists showing work include Shelley Ellis, Brandon Boan, Tiffany Leach, David Sackett, Rebecca Aranyi, and Genie Earle-Carter.
