Presented in conjunction with the December 3 performance of Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezin, MASS APPEAL, 1943 is a staged reading of a script by Defiant Requiem creator Murry Sidlin that tells the story of how conductor Rafael Schächter defended performing Verdi's Requiem in the Terezín ghetto.
