The Poetics of Data: Refik Anadol

October 29, 2018 - 7:30 PM
UNC Charlotte Center City

Refik Anadol is a digital media artist from Istanbul, Turkey and resides in Los Angeles. He is the visionary behind “Interconnected,” a new public art project at Charlotte Douglas International Airport that converts three massive LED screens into an ever-changing digital artwork modeled on real-time airport operations data ranging from flight times and shuttle bus circulation to departures and arrivals. This talk will provide unique access to Anadol’s cutting-edge artistic practice at an exciting moment in his ascendant career.

The College of Arts + Architecture is pleased to be one of the community sponsors of this Arts & Science Council program. The event is FREE.
