Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in the arts?
I actually became interested in theatre by watching TV shows and films when I was younger, especially in middle school. I would see my favorite actors and actresses on screen and memorize every word that they said. I realized I could see myself doing that. Next thing I knew, my mom took me to an audition at a community youth theatre, and I was hooked.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I see myself having a professional career as an actor. Acting has been, and will always be, my passion. It allows me to express my creativity. Whether that be on stage or in film, I want to do it all. I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
My favorite thing about this theatre department is that we’re all connected, because we came here to do one thing, and that is to make art onstage. It’s also easy to communicate with others. When I transferred here my sophomore year, I never imagined making so many life-long friends and building connections with such amazing professors. It definitely made the transfer easier and took me out of my comfort zone a lot more.
When you are not in class, studying, working or rehearsing, what do you like to do for fun?
I LOVE playing video games. My PlayStation is my life. I also like reading books. And when I’m not doing either of those, I love hanging with my friends.
