Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in theatre?
I fell into theatre kind of by accident! My mom enrolled my siblings and myself into our local children's theatre when I was six years old, and I have been acting ever since!
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to have a career focused in comedic performance, in addition to writing and creating original work. I hope to gain a platform to speak up for the issues important to me, as well to launch a platform promoting and acting on inclusivity of people from a variety of backgrounds.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
Theatre is a collaborative art form, so I think it is highly important to gain experience in the different disciplines of the field. The department is great at exposing students to all aspects of theatre, from lighting design to devised theatre. Being an artist, I truly enjoy the liberal arts general education because being a great artist requires being informed of the world surrounding you. From the History of Witchcraft to General Psychology, I have taken courses with a variety of perspectives that have been informative my acting training.
When you are not in class, studying, working or rehearsing, what do you like to do for fun?
It's a guilty pleasure, but I watch reality TV. Anything from the Kardashians to Marie Kondo, I am here for it!
