Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in theatre?

My mom is a professional musician and opera performer, so I was always surrounded by music and musicals when I was younger. She was a professor at our local community college, where she would direct musicals that I would be a part of in any way I could. Along with taking theatre classes in high school, theatre became part of my life I've loved it ever since.

What kind of career do you hope to have?

My true goal is to be an established playwright. In the meantime while I'm growing and getting better, I hope to teach theatre in high school and inspire kids the way I was inspired by my high school theatre teacher.

What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte, the College of Arts + Architecture, or the Department of Theatre?

I love tightknit community we have here. There's no jealousy or competition, everyone is really supportive and helpful and just wants you to succeed. I've made great friends, and found some amazing support through the faculty here as well.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I love writing all kinds of things, not just plays. I love drawing, watching anime, making short video aesthetics, and spending my time just being as creative as I possibly can.
