Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in the arts/design?
I’ve always been interested in art since I was little, and my mom would take pictures of EVERYTHING, so she got me started young. Art in general is super meditative and essential and just always has been a huge outlet for me. An ideal day would be doing nothing but listening to music and drawing, painting, or taking/editing pictures with a beautiful view in front of me. My love for photography started in middle school when I joined the Yearbook Committee. I picked up the camera and realized I never wanted to put it down. I picked it up as a hobby from then on and when it came time to choose what I wanted to go to college for, it was clear that that was it.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to own my own photography business.
What is your favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture?
My favorite thing about the college has to be the professors. They all genuinely want to see you succeed, even though sometimes it may not seem like it. They really push you, but it’s only because they see the potential you have and want you to reach it. On top of that, they make the art department feel like one big family, which can be really important in college away from home.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy hanging out with my friends, sleeping, and doing photoshoots.
