Students from the theatre department are actors in "bystander intervention" videos.

Department of Theatre students recently participated in the making of official UNC Charlotte Title IX instructional videos for the "Niners Know" course. This past summer, Ariana Arocho, Cydney Wallace, Dylan Ireland, Isabel Gonzalez, James Michels, Kenneth Quiroz, Michael (Drew) Coley, Amberlin McCormick, Jocelyn Cabaniss, Migdalia Ramirez, and Joel Vincent worked with Dr. Michelle Reinken, Title IX Coordinator, to produce two videos about bystander intervention.

All students are automatically assigned the "Niners Know" course to complete in Canvas upon admission to UNC Charlotte. According to the course description, "Through a variety of videos, realistic scenarios, and self-guided reflection, students will become educated about sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual and interpersonal violence, stalking, and ways to be an active bystander."
