City.Building.Lab Director to Present in Czech Republic

Nadia Anderson, associate professor of architecture and urban design and director of City.Building.Lab, has been invited to present lectures on publicly engaged design at the Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) and the Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP) in the Czech Republic during the week of October 31. She will also be leading a workshop on public engagement design methods for academics and professionals in Ostrava.

Anderson joined the School of Architecture faculty this fall. Her research, teaching, and practice focus on publicly-engaged design as a vehicle for social empowerment and environmental resilience. Prior to joining the UNC Charlotte faculty, Nadia was a member of the architecture and urban design faculty at Iowa State University.
