UNC Charlotte alumnus AdĂ© Hogue (BFA Graphic Design, 2012) has been selected by Print magazine for its annual "New Visual Artists" issue. Hogue was selected by the national publication as one of "15 creatives under 30 who are shaping tomorrow's design landscape." He will be featured in Print's Fall 2017 issue.

Founded in 1940 as Print: A Quarterly Journal of the Graphic Arts, the now bimonthly Print magazine examines design in its social, political, and historical contexts. It has received the American Society of Magazine Editors’ National Magazine Award for General Excellence five times.

An experienced designer and specialist in hand-created type and lettering, Hogue has enjoyed a successful career with creative firms in Chicago, rising to the position of art director while working with national and global brands such as PayPal, eBay Inc., Nike, ALDI, Ocean Spray, the Got Milk campaign, and more. He has also presented his personally-initiated work in exhibitions, such as the TYPEFORCE 8 annual juried showcase of emerging typographic artists. Further, he has been an invited speaker at design and creativity conferences, such as Top Con 2015 and Creative South 2017.

Hogue frequently finds time to return to Charlotte to visit and contribute to his alma mater and has been a guest speaker in numerous courses in the Department of Art & Art History. Learn more about his work at adehogue.com.
