Five voice students have placed in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Mid-Atlantic Region Student Auditions, held on March 17 at UNC-Chapel Hill. Tiffanie Briggs was awarded first place in the Hall Johnson Spiritual Category. Tyrez Dabbs placed first in the Fourth/Fifth Year College Men Division while Phillip Hill took third place. James Matens and Joe McGovern placed second and third, respectively, in the First Year College Men Division. The students will compete in another round of auditions to see whether they go on to the national auditions, to be held in Boulder, Colorado, in July.
