Four voice students placed and four received Honorable Mention at the 2018 North Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) auditions, held February 16 and 17 at the UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. The award winners were:
Chrystle Mactal: First Place, 4th Year Women Division
Natalya Balashova: Second Place, Upper Advanced College/Studio Women Division
James Matens: Second Place, 2nd Year Men Division
Sean Murphy: Third Place, 1st Year Men Division
Students Regan Sawyer, Olivia Romney, Josh Coleman, and Tiffanie Briggs received Honorable Mention. The students will move on to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference and Student Auditions, which will be held March 16 and 17 at Liberty University in Virginia.
