Sam is also an active member of the local dance community, currently involved in projects with choreographers Megan Payne and Sarah Council. As a student at UNC Charlotte, she performed prestigious works by Martha Graham and Paul Taylor and performed on renowned stages such as the Joyce Theater in New York and the Knight Theater at the Levine Center for the Arts in Charlotte. In 2015, she began undergraduate research to reconstruct a lost 1962 work entitled Tracer for modern dance choreographer, Paul Taylor. Her research was presented at five undergraduate research symposiums, and she performed in the reconstructed work.
