students enrolled in the Department of Dance
In normal times, the Department of Dance invites prospective students to a twice-yearly open house that provides opportunities to take classes, meet faculty members and current students, and find out more about scholarships, financial aid, and opportunities within the department. Students will also participate in a 1.5-hour movement class that is observed by faculty as a part of their application. For admission into the Dance Education concentration and Applied Dance Major, students must complete a short, written prompt and attend the open house. Students from all training backgrounds and dance techniques and/or styles are encouraged to apply.
Faculty and staff welcome the opportunity to get to know prospective students and their families. We encourage students to visit campus during our open house. If you cannot attend the given dates, please contact Undergraduate Coordinator Delia Neil for alternative options for your application.
