Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in the arts/design?
I started off as a band kid so I always loved music and I had always thought I was going to be in an orchestra. Prior to band, I also danced for seven years when I was younger and was in an acting club in middle school. But, my former band director announced a New York City trip my freshman year of high school, so I signed up and went, and we saw a Broadway show called Wicked, and I knew in that moment what I wanted to do, and then the rest is history.
Why did you apply to the Arts + Architecture Honors Program?
I thought it would be a great way to interact with people who have the same interests as I do and that also care deeply about their education.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
The ultimate goal is to be a Tony Award winning Broadway actor but any job as a working performer would be phenomenal.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
My favorite thing about the theatre department is that you can truly be yourself and everyone will accept you no matter who you are.
When you are not in class, studying, working or rehearsing, what do you like to do for fun?
I honestly love to just sit down and relax and catch up on shows that I haven’t seen. I’m constantly busy, so it feels really nice when you don’t get to do anything.
